This trail map is more topographical style of Mt. Whitney near Lone Pine, California. I have never had the privilege of climbing Whitney but my father has done it solo. This is one of the easier climbs on the west coast that is over 14,000 feet. Every time you drive to Mammoth you drive right under the shadows of Mt. Whitney.
